The Court Lab has investigated fungal mitochondria for over 27 years in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Manitoba. Our projects, past and present, are:

• Mitochondrial porin (VDAC) in fungal cell function

• Membrane mimetics for folding and analyzing VDAC in vitro

• VDAC interactions with hexokinase

• Mitochondrial inner membrane transporters and antibiotics

• An unusual domain in fungal mitochondrial DNA polymerases (not active)

• Co-evolution of proteins in mitochondrial complexes (not active)
